How do I report referrer spam?

    I am getting a lot of page views from referrer spam, and I want to know how to make it stop.

    Thanks for letting us know about this. What you’re running into is called “Referrer Spam”, and it’s an unfortunate side effect of the way stats tracking works.

    Spammers take advantage of the referrer logs and visit your blog from phantom URLs that they are actually trying to promote, in the hope that you see them in your logs and click them.

    If you run into some of these URLs we’d appreciate it if you could send the URLs to us via a private support request. We’re working on a way to filtering them out of stats pages. Thanks!
