I’m seeing your site up and running. I’m not certain what you mean by “edit mode”. With that said, I’d love to try to help out.
How is the site building going for you at this point?

There is an Admin link on posts and pages that only you as Admin and any Editors you have created can see when you are logged in. It’s for your convenience and your visitors cannot see it. You cannot remove it as it’s coded into the theme templates and we cannot edit templates or themes.
If you log out, clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies and then visit your site without logging in that links will not appear to you.

I’ve checked your site and I haven’t been able to see any editing issues. So I can look into this for you, please make a screenshot of what you are seeing:
Please include as much of the page as you can and upload the screenshot to your Media Library. There’s no need to share a link to the screenshot here, I should be able to find it.

1.One other issue is that I have 2 sites by the same name and I am afraid to delete the one with side bar that I started and changed because afraid this one will go away too. I f you can help with that I would be appreciative. I attached 2 shots I took..if I knew how to do screen shots I would likely have no issues at all ! The below is a copy of it, in part. LOL
My issue is that 2 is that my site appears to have instructions to me such as the below text on how to use widgets. Maybe I have the wrong link to share my blog and am using my edit mode. Regarding your first issue, there is a walkthrough about deleting your site:Clearly, though, you worry that you’ll select the wrong one. I think you’ll still be able to do it because there is one verification that will make sure you’re deleting the correct site. If you disagree, staff can help you to make sure you delete the correct site.
To do it yourself, though, look in the Delete Site walkthrough above. When you get to Step 4, in the yellow warning box it shows you the site name. <b>Make sure this site name is the site you want to delete.</b> After double-checking that it is correct, you can press the delete button with confidence that you’re not deleting the site you mean to keep.
That’s my advice. Staff can also help you if you would prefer.
It might help us, too, if you list your two accounts here and tell us which you’d like to delete.

Can you confirm the URL of the site you wish to keep? And the URL of the site you wish to delete?

It’s not possible to attach screenshots to your reply. You’ll notice they come through as text link [attach 3] instead of an image. If you upload the screenshots to your Media Library instead, I’ll be able to take a look:

Can you send me a link to the instructions you are looking at? Would you like to create an About Me widget on hypnotherapycomfortzone.wordpress.com? Once I know for sure, I can send you some steps to work though.

You can copy the URL from the address bar in your browser. However, I won’t be able to see the edits you are making unless they are saved. If you are making changes to your site and haven’t saved them yet, a screenshot would help me see what you are working on.
Just let me know the answer to the questions above and we can go from there.

I’ve been confused because I wasn’t sure what site we’ve been talking about. Now, I loaded https://hypnotherapycomfortzone.wordpress.com/ and see you’ve got it almost ready.
It sounds like you want to remove the widget that says “Text Widget” because it’s not a finished part of the site. It’s easy to remove this and have it just disappear.
- Load the Customizer: https://wordpress.com/customize/
- Select “Widgets”
- Select the one that says “Text Widget”
- Select the red button at the bottom of that little edit box that says “Remove”
How does that help make your site ready to share with your class?

It looks like it is in edit mode with the info on side to use widgets. I want it to look like a blog not half finished.
The widgets in your sidebar can be edited using the steps @jessestu replied with — you can either remove the widget completely or replace the existing text with your own.
If that doesn’t do what you need, please let us know :)
