I am having trouble logging into my site?

I am the owner of the business and the website. I have had a tech guy in there helping with things and now it seems my site credintials are all messed up and I cannot access the Admin portion of my site. Furthermore, it seems I have found a phantom site that looks just like mine but is a different URL?

  • Hi there,

The site sgvps.net appears to be a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site on Siteground Web Hosting, and not a site on WordPress.com.

    You can confirm here: https://gwhois.org/peptidesforsale.us+dns

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org (the version Siteground offers) are two different entities, but the essential difference is that we don’t have access to all WordPress sites, only the ones hosted on our WordPress.com servers. See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ for more info.

However, if you have access to the server control panel through the host for your site, it is always possible to regain access to a self-hosted WordPress site. This WordPress.org Codex article will walk you through it: http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password

You may also wish to contact your hosting support team for direct assistance; they would be in the best position to help.

Hope that points you in the right direction,
