I am having trouble with my first blog attempt.

Hey Jim!
On two or more tweets I see the blog page but there is no content.
This isn’t unusual. You generally won’t see content. You can add a bit by customizing the text that is posted on Twitter. To do this, in your post editor, click here:
https://cloudup.com/cJOko8L52vYThen add content and save here:
https://cloudup.com/c4Ii_4jtAK5Twitter users know they have to click a link to see full articles. A link and a compelling title will get them to visit your site.
Perhaps I should have my own website. What do you think?
You do have your own website! :)
You are using http://aboutteachingandteachers.me/ mainly as a blog now, but you can add all the pages you want. You can even have ONLY pages, and remove the blog posts. The possibilities are endless. WordPress.com is super flexible. Or, of course, you can always have a 2nd website here, separate from aboutteachingandteachers.me, if you want.
If I can help in any other way, please drop me a line. Cheers :)

Robyn,
Thanks again for your help. When I went to Twitter I see four posts that are complete with content. However, the fifth, “Preface to About Teaching and Teachers” there is no content. When on the Twitter site of that blog I looked for but could not find: “post editor”. I hope I have not lost this content.
I’ve made a lot of progress and soon will ‘fly’ on my own, thanks to your assistance and patience.

Jim,
Can you send me screenshots? I’d like to see one of a Twitter post that is working properly, and the one that isn’t. You can simply upload the screenshot to your Media Library, like any other image, and I’ll be able to access it from there.
The page at the following link has some helpful tips for taking screenshots:
Just let me know when there’s something I should look at! Thanks, Jim :)

Robyn,
I use a Mac and downloaded Silverlight, then experimented in trying it out. I was successful in getting two screenshots, one that did not have content and the second one that did.
I had a problem in getting the entire image because once I activated the application I no longer could scroll so the image with the content captured only the top half.
There’s a learning curve for all things digital!/

Hey Jim,
The image links you sent are to files that are on your computer. I can’t access those. You will have to add them to your Media Library so I can see them.
Here’s a link to your library:
https://jjp1932.wordpress.com/wp-admin/upload.php
Also, to take a screenshot on your Mac, you can simply click Command, Shift, and the number 4 at the same time. That will take a photo of your whole screen.
Thanks a lot! :)

Robyn,
Well, after a lot of trial and error I think I have the two screenshots in the media library.
I’m making a guess but I think the ‘Preface’ one without the content is missing an item that would normally get to the content. I hope I can retrieve the content because I felt I had made a breakthrough in an idea.
In all, you have been great and I thank you. I think you have engineered a smile on this end.

Hi Jim,
Robyn has been out of the office for a few days so I’m taking a look at her tickets and making sure that people don’t think that we’ve forgotten about them!
I took a look at your site and just to make sure we’re on the same page, your current concern is that the content for the post which you created titled “Preface to About Teaching and Teachers” has gone missing, yes?
I have done a lot of searching and I’m afraid that I wasn’t able to find hide nor hair of the content for that post, I’m sorry to say. If you were using our newer editor which is available at https://wordpress.com/post , then we suggest that you actively click the “Save Draft” button regularly to make sure that your progress is saved (as the auto-save only saves things on your browser, which sometimes causes problems like this).
I’m really sorry for this inconvenience and I hope that you are able to recreate the breakthrough that you mentioned!

Thanks for trying. I appreciate what you and Robyn have done to introduce me to blogging.
