I am interesed in using WordPress but i have a question before i begin

    Does WordPress have a way to protect our course material and Ebooks from being shared by multiple users? Example Beth purchases a course and an Ebook she decides to share it with Tom, Mary and Debbie however Tom, Mary and Debbie did not purchase our course or Ebook do you have something in place we can utilize to prevent this? This is what a person told me: In WordPress you can easily set permissions for certain areas of the site to make them inaccessible except for certain groups of people. I would like to use Podia or Teachable along with WordPress but they do not offer any protection from our course or Ebooks from being shared multiple times. What package would I need?

    Hi There,

    If I understand correctly, you want to sell your courses and ebooks and for that, you want to protect your courses or ebook to be used by the person only who bought that.
    To help you in the right direction, I need your help on the below points:-

    1) Do you want the courses and ebooks to be downloadable?

    2) Do you want the course and ebook to appear on your website and you want to make it accessible to those who purchased it

    3) You have a certain list already with whom you want to share and just want the post/blog to be password protected for those people and you will invite them for the blog

    Hi there!

    You can use a plugin like WooCommerce (there are others as well) that will protect your files on the server. So when someone purchases a downloadable file (such as an ebook), only they will have access to it. There will be file permissions in place to prevent unauthorized access to such files.
