I am listed as site administrator however it is not giving me proper permissions

  Hello,

  I have a WordPress website and I created it and made myself administrator. Many things are not working such as the visual sliders and the Instagram plugin. I traced it back to the fact that I do not have the most current update. However, I am not allowed to update it because a top notification states ‘WordPress 5.4.1 is available! Please notify the site administrator.’ Finally, I have the website through a different host, so I do not even have a WordPress account and had to make this one so I cannot even properly contact WordPress support. Does anyone know how I can address this problem?
