i am logged in, and wordpress is *entirely* dysfunctional

    and this is pretty much the functionality i have from wordpress. how this forum works when nothing else does? no idea!

    * no reader… whats in the pic is all i get.
    * i can view a blog if i know the address…
    * i can view my blog, but the editor looks like the reader! (pic already linked)
    * i cannot edit posts, trash posts, or write new posts.
    * i am logged in. i can unfollow a blog or follow a blog, but it wont be in the reader (because the reader doesnt load.)
    * the editor doesnt load
    * the dash doesnt load!
    * im using firefox. its not an old version. what is the deal here?
    * i cant blog, i cant get my list of blogs, i cant edit any settings.

    incredibly i just wrote a post a day/2 ago about how we are all your beta testers and cant hold back updates that break wordpress sometimes for WEEKS. is this retaliation or something? (i dont really beleve youd do that.)

    also im reading on this forum that “following a lot of blogs” flags your account? so if i find a lot of blogs i like, and i click follow to subscribe to them… its frowned upon or something? (really? whats next– visiting a lot of blogs flags it? should i go to wordpress.com less often– what?)

    Hello codeinfig,

    The good news are: I can see your site.

    In order to fix your issue please try to clear the cache of your Firefox. On https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-clear-firefox-cache you can find the step by step instructions to clear the cache.

    I hope that helps and let me know in case you have any further questions.

    yeah, ive tried clearing the cache. in fact i went to advanced and cleared it multiple times until it said 0, and went to the storage folder and cleared out the wordpress stuff (when nothing else worked, that is. this wasnt the cause.)

    i have found since then that its working in pale moon, but i dont know if it will work in firefox again. very strange. im probably going to ditch firefox soon, this is the last straw. but ive had problems with wordpress, too. i agree that clearing the cache should help– no effect, its still not loading.

    Hi codeinfig,

    To help determine if this is a browser issue, could you please see if you can use the Reader and edit blog posts in another browser, such as Chrome, Edge or Safari?

    hi, yes, i got it working in pale moon, which is a forked (and quite different) version of firefox. meanwhile firefox– the browser ive relied on for 15 years– is still behaving like i said originally. i cleared the cache and eventually the storage.

    considering that this will probably get me to finally give up on the browser, you guys can just close the ticket if you want. i havent tried firefox on another machine yet, lets do that, eh? *installing firefox on another machine* oh here we go! ok, well its not only just the browser, somethings borked in the single installation of the browser. its working on the other install. close the ticket i guess, thanks for your time, and im going to go remove firefox anyway. 52.x is the most unusable version since 2005. cheers.
