I am Nervous About Putting Up My Best Story – What About Theft?

  I have been writing childrens’ stories, fairy tales, and poetry since I was young, and I don’t mind putting my poetry on WordPress, but I am very nervous about putting my best story up. What if someone steals it? I would like one day to have it published. I have some short stories and fairy tales that are decidedly mediocre, but I have one that I think has real potential. How can I feel safe, if anyone can just swipe it right off of my WordPress page? Any ideas as to what I should do are appreciated. I am thinking maybe I should wait to put it up until I have tried getting it published.

  I suppose I could try getting it published really soon, and in the meantime just put up a story summary on my page..
