I am new please forgive me

Hi,
I am sorry for the random question.
For some reason I was told to create a wordpress website using MAMP (local host) and now I have built most of the site I want to upload to the wordpress site.
Is this possible I have just started this a week ago I have been told that I will need to use an ftp program like filezilla to do this however I am unsure how to get that to connect to my wordpress site.
I am starting to think that think this is because I have not paid for wordpress.
I suppose long story short is their an easy way to move what I have done in MAMP and upload it to the wordpress site.
I appreciate everyones help!

It’s great to hear your working locally on a WordPress site. Awesome!
WordPress.com is not really the platform you are probably looking for…you probably have a custom theme or are working on a plugin. Neither of those options are available to you on WordPress.com You are going to want to check over at the WordPress.org support forums. I recommend Localhost Installs and How-To and Troubleshooting as two great places to get you going. The users there should be able to guide you along as you transfer the work you have done to a suitable WordPress host and aid it any troubleshooting that might come up.
