I am not able to change my profile picture in users

  • Unknown's avatar

I am not able to change the profile pictures in the user’s column where my gravatar doesn’t work after it being created and used a plugin called WP User Avatar which even after doesn’t even work at all. Please help me solve this issue.

  • Hi, I don’t know anything about WP User Avatar, as that’s not made by our company. But I can help with Gravatar issues.

I see your Gravatar here. If it isn’t working on some other site, could you send a link to a page where it will appear?

Or, if this is for a different account, can you log in as that user first?

The gravatar image does not seem to appear when I use my email address for one of the users on the website. It is not for a website which is dubaicreekstriders.com. Do you want the admin username and password for this?

  • https://dubaicreekstriders.com/ is not hosted with us on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress software at another hosting provider.

In this forum we can only help if the problem was a problem with adding the image to Gravatar.com itself, which it appears isn’t the case here. The problem here is with the image actually getting pulled into your site, correct? As your site is not hosted with us, we have no control over that.

Gravatar images are cached, both on Gravatar.com and on WordPress sites themselves, and any change in an image will only take place once the caches on both ends have updated. The Gravatar cache refreshes every few hours so it would have updated there by now, meaning the issue is most likely with your site. So try clearing the cache for your site and see if that helps.

If not, please ask the WordPress.org community for more advice, as they provide support for the WordPress software you’re using:

Do you want the admin username and password for this?

This is a public forum, so you should definitely not post login credentials here under any circumstances. Requesting login credentials in this forum is a violation of our guidelines which would result in any volunteer doing it getting banned, and isn’t something our support team ever does, not even via email support.

You should never share the admin credentials for your website with anyone, not even customer support. In the rare cases where it’s necessary to give a support person dashboard access to your site you should always create a guest account for that purpose which you can delete once the issue is resolved, and responsible support services will always provide you with instructions to share those credentials with them securely.

If someone asks you to send login details for your site via a support email, walk away because you’re dealing with someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing and who isn’t taking your site’s security seriously.
