I am not able to drop a plugin that will enable online donations.

  Do I need to upgrade my contract to be able to have a ‘Donate’ button on my site, or am I missing something? I am not particularly savvy in this arena.

  Hi there,

  WordPress Pro Plan is required to use the plugin option on site. At the moment, bushard4sd64.wordpress.com is on the free plan.

  Hi there,

  You can add a basic PayPal Donate button to your site on the free plan:

  https://wordpress.com/support/paypal/

  To use this button you’ll need to create a button on PayPal first, then you copy the HTML code for that button, and paste it into your site where you want the button to appear.

  Another option to take donations via a free site is to set up a GoFundMe or a Patreon page, or similar, and just link to that from your site instead.
