I am not able to remove the blog roll – the default widget!! URGENT

  I am adding my own widgets but the default widget – blogroll is still there! I need to post this blog this afternoon and I don’t want this blogroll on the blog!!

  You can remove this by removing the links widget at Appearance > Widgets in your Dashboard. That will remove the blogroll.
