I am not able to switch to the new photo up loader. What am I doing wrong?

  I can’t use the new photo up loader. When I chose photos from my computer, I’m using the multi-media up loader but when I try to switch to the new up loader nothing happens. It remains in the multi-media up loader. Will the new up loader only work with people who have bought more media space? My readers depend on being able to view (and enlarge) photos to see tiny details. I’m having an awful time trying to get my blog usable. I need answers a senior mind can understand…. please.
