I am not receiving email notifications

Since about a week ago, I receive no email notifications of new posts on blogs I follow, or comments etc on my blog. When I opened my site, I found comments which had not appeared on my email, and when I opened blogs I follow, I found recent posts, ditto.
Why is this, and is there anything I can do? Thank you for your help.

I checked records and I found that the latest message our servers sent out to the email address on file for your janeadamsart WordPress.com account was on Nov 27 05:02:41 UTC with subject, “Please moderate: “Childhood Part Two – Scent of Red Geranium Leaves” and the record also seems to indicate the mail server on your side accepted the message.
In a case like this, the next best troubleshooting steps you can take are:
1. Try checking your spam/junk folder to make sure the messages aren’t getting filed there by mistake
2. Contact your mail provider and ask them to please help you whitelist messages from @wordpress.com and possibly also help you check on a specific message. The details you can send them are that a message was sent on Nov 27 05:02:41 UTC with subject “Please moderate: “Childhood Part Two – Scent of Red Geranium Leaves” but you never received the message in your inbox and ask them if they could please help you find out why that message did not go through.

If anyone else is experiencing a similar problem, can you please mention your email domain or email provider name? If enough people start reporting this is a problem and everyone having trouble is using the same email domain, it could be related to that email service provider not allowing mail through that it should or a problem with that service in particular.

Thank you. My email provider is talktalk.net. I did not receive the email on 27 November “Please moderate …”. I found the new comment on my wordpress site.
I have received no emails at all from wp, except for your two replies today to my problem! They came through alright.
I will do as you suggest and ask talktalk why this is happening, and to whitelist your mails.

@designsimply: I spoke to talktalk. They say they have issues since 20 days, and are trying to repair them, and hope it will be resolved this week. Please don’t close this thread however. Thank you.

I too am not receiving e-mail notifications from WP, approximately the past day or so. My e-mail provider is yahoo mail (ca.yahoo.com). I haven’t contacted yahoo as yet, but will if the problem persists. Thanks.

Naturally, just after I submitted my comment I received an e-mail notification from WP, so I guess the problem resolved itself. Cheers.

I raised this issue 26th Nov separately and thank Elizabeth & Sheri for their advice.
ISP is Talktalk and use Windows Live as email agent and have set up whitelisting on that and ‘Home Safe’ as advised – absolutely no effect!
Have just emailed their internet abuse team for help pointing out their filtering is no different to the criminal hacking they’re trying to recover from!

After WP engineers provided their internet routing report TT Abuse Response Team stated “I can confirm that our network team have advised that we are not blocking anything”!!
This seriously begs the questions: what, where and who is not only stopping incoming emails but also producing false reporting??? It seems to suggest presence of a pervasive cybercriminal activity. Surely someone should be able to investigate and examine. Perhaps GCHQ?
Next step is to inform UK comms regulator and Internet Watch Foundation as well as alert users/friends through national/international contacts.
