    I am paying to keep my blog ad free, but I just saw that, unbeknownst to me, there is a link in my most recent post to an ad (the word ‘anew’ links to a skincare product. I am very disturbed by this. How do I make sure this hasn’t happened in other blog posts and how do I make sure it does not happen again.

    Howdy,

    Inline ads, like linking specific words, is not something done by WordPress.com. We only place clear ads at the end of posts with a link to our ads policy.

    Almost always, there is a browser extension on your computer that is adding those links to certain websites. Can you check your extensions, deactivating any, to confirm which one is causing this? In Chome, you can find your list of extensions by typing chrome://extensions/ in your address bar.
