I am removed from admin access. Can’t login and someone else owns the site holitouch.com without my permission.

    Hello. My admin access was removed from holitouch.com which is hosted in wordpress.com and the host ends on May 2023.
    I truly believe that this was an action from the client, as he didn’t want to pay for all the changes and the work I did for him last week.
    There were no other users in the account. I excluded the client’s email one day before because he told me that he wanted to transfer the website to another hosting provider without paying me.

    I had a strong password
    I had two factor authentication with my mobile
    Many messages came to my mobile phone during the night, but I couldn’t do anything to prevent the fraud, because I was removed from the account.

    However they hacked it and now the site is live by another owner and of course I can guess who.
    I can prove that the site was my work. Client had never paid to take ownership, there is no invoice for the project. The client only paid the renewal of the domain and hosting few months ago.
    I can give you backups from February 2022 and September 2022.
    I can send you all the backup codes I had for security in case my phone was dead.

    I just want to take back my ownership or otherwise the content I created should be deleted.

    Many thanks for reaching out. We’ve retraced some steps and we’ve taken a look at the actions taken and we can’t see that anything breaches our privacy and security policy here.

    With regards to the work and website, we would not be able to assist with removing content or the site, nor could we intervene. We’d recommend reaching out to the website owner for a resolve.

    thank you for taking some time to examine the situation. I really appreciate your help.

    It is really strange that the systems cannot recognize any violation, since the account was working with my business email address, there were no other users in the account except me, a new strong password was generated that no one knew and two factor authentication with my mobile.

    And suddenly, when I tried to login it said User does not exist and at the same time many codes were sent to my phone but I knew that someone else was trying to login since I was left out.

    Hello there,

    From what we can see, you weren’t an admin on the site https://holitouch.com/.

    To check, were you accessing the controlling account directly, and not via the polinastyl username?

    Ok I can now figure out now what you mean.

    The account I used to access the the site lately, was not polinastyl nor the email address associated with this. But if you look back in May or June 2020 when I first created, you will find that this was the first username. I then changed it to holitouch.

    I contact you through this username because the other account was completely removed on Tuesday 20th Sept 2022 so I don’t have access to it. When I started receiving messages on my phone I tried to login and it said USER DOES NOT EXIST.

    Is there a way to send you confidential information?

    I can send you, the username of the account, the email associated it with and all the history of email changes, the phone number associated with the account for two factor authentication, a latest backup before the site was removed from my ownership.
    I have emails to the client telling him that was a project for free and he will have to pay me if he wants to move it to another provider (it will be in greek but you can google translate it)

    I mean I have everything!

    Than you so much for trying to help. I can understand this is a total chaos.

    Unfortunately, a partner just informed me that they have already transferred the content of holitouch.com to a new domain and hosting, http://www.holitouch.gr.

    Even if I send you all the evidence to prove all the above, the content is now theirs and there is nothing I can do about it.

    But it is still a task of security, how they managed to block the two factor authentication and proceed to login. This is something that you will have to consider.
