I am sending out posts but followers are not receiving them
-
I have setup a test email address and fired out a post and that did not receive an email? The follower is set to receive ‘Immediate’?
I am a web developer and I am stumped.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Followers manage their own subscriptions and specify the frequency of receipt of posts from sites they follow.
See what Staff said here please:
Ask them to click the “manage subscriptions” link at the bottom of one of the old emails. Then on the webpage that appears, click on “settings” and make sure that “block all emails from WordPress.com” is not checked. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/email-to-my-followers-stopped?replies=5#post-2552242
Other checks your followers can make include:
looking in their email client spam filters;
and, if they use gmail or google apps they can consult these guides:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-notifications/gmail-issues/If they are not successful, they will need to login and communicate with Staff in this thread. We type modlook into the sidebar tags on threads for Staff help. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Then we subscribe to the thread so we are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

Hello,
I checked the test follower I setup and it was set to receive immediate although on one of the tabs it did mention on what time and day you wanted to receive emails? There was nothing in junk or spam by the way.

Hi Rowan, I’ll send you an email to get more details about the address that’s not receiving subscription emails.

Hello,
May I ask you a couple of questions about my blog – https://ashridgevolunteers.blog/
1.) When a follower receives a post email and just reads it without clicking to go to the actual blog I appreciate that WordPress won't update the stats to say that a visit has been made. Is there a way to restrict the amount of text being displayed in the initial post email with something like click here to read more which would then force the follower to the actual blog. I am asking this because I am pretty sure that a fair number of my email followers are not clicking through to the actual blog so the stats are not truly accurate?
2.) I have just looked at my stats for 2016 and I have had 3,776 views from visitors but under the author section where I am I have viewed it 2,599 times. Is this figure part of the 3,776 or is it additional – if that makes sense? I guess is my 2,599 part of the 3,776 views?
Kind Regards and Happy New Year
Rowan

Sure. You’ve got that option already set here:
https://ashridgevolunteersblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.phpAnd we don’t count logged-in visits with the main stats on public sites.

This may be an old issue, but I’m disappointed that I cannot see what country visitors to my blog are from. Why was this service withdrawn?

@douglasglwilliams your comment isn’t really related to this thread, but please click on Days, or Weeks, or Months, or Years. The country data is there.
