    I have been offered free migration from hosting companies – just wondered whether this is just as good as paying for a guided transfer? What is the difference?

    Plus- if I do go for a Guided Transfer will i have to purchase a host package first?

    Are you sure that they are offering migration from WordPress.com to their hosting? Many times these offers are only for migrating from one self hosted site to another self hosted site.

    As to the quality, I couldn’t offer an opinion I’m afraid as I am not familiar with the offer or host. In general, Guided transfer is an excellent way to go.

    Yes, you need to set up hosting before we can move your site.
