I am the owner of the site yet I STILL CANNOT upload my own theme??????

    Hello – I am getting more confused by the minute. I have set up a hosting plan with GODADDY and set up wordpress through them. I was told over and over that if I did this I would be able to upload my own theme. Yet it is now saying I am not the owner of the site????

    What site are you working on?

    It sounds like you’re using the open source installation of WordPress. That’s different from what we do here at WordPress.com. Take a look at this guide for further clarification on that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    For help with the WordPress installation you’ll want to post at wordpress.org/support/ as we don’t have access to your site.

    Yes, you can upload a third party theme to the WordPress installation.
