  I am thinking of transfering a website to wordpress. it has its on domain name. If i map its name, can I stop paying on the other host site or do I continue paying even afer I transfer? So does that I mean I pay wordpress and and the other site? How can I get a minimul payement to 1 source for both wordpess and keeping the orginal domain name? Randy.   Hi there,

  The company where you bought your domain is called your registrar. The company where your website lives is called your host. If you move your site to us we will become your host, so you can cancel your current hosting account, but it’s not possible for us to become your registrar so you will need to keep paying them for your domain registration.

  Once you have a site set up with us, you will need the domain mapping upgrade to create a connection between your site here, and your domain registrar. Domain mapping is included in all our plans.

  Use a Domain You Already Own (Domain Mapping)
