I am totally lost NEWBIE

  All I want to know is a simple way to A)Add my picture to my blog. And B)
  put something in my blog were people can subscribe to it? I have no
  idea of widget and tags and text widgets are? I feel like I am in
  the world of Harry Potter. and yes I tried the FAQ. looked like greek to
  me. Sorry if you all heard this before.
