I am trying to add a plugin

  I am having trouble installing a plug in. I followed the instructions, added the php extension in Google Chrome, and try to run the install for plugins, but it keeps saying, “WordPress requires that your web server is running PHP. Your server does not have PHP installed, or PHP is turned off”. But I installed it.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there.

  WordPress.com is a shared hosting environment and, therefore, it’s not possible to install plugins here. Plugins can only be installed on self-hosted WordPress sites. If you’re wondering how WordPress.com differs from self-hosted WordPress sites, this guide gives a good overview:

  What are you trying to achieve with a plugin? WordPress.com has a lot of built-in features and there’s a good chance the feature you’re looking for is already here. If you let me know what you’d like to achieve with a plugin, I’ll be happy to help you find a solution.

  You can add a slideshow to your posts/pages with a builtin option here:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/

  In addition to this, a lot of our themes support post sliders. You can filter for these in the theme repository here:
  https://wordpress.com/themes/features/post-slider/
