I am trying to comment on a USA WordPress blog but it won't accept my ID. What am I doing wrong

  Responses are, ‘Can’t verify your ID.’ ‘Username not recognised’ etc.

  Am I giving the wrong information? (Likely, as I’m an IT twit.)

  Ah, try it with your site name. I believe their wording is a bit confusing there. Let me know if you still have issues.

  I do. Just tried my site name. response is ‘URL contains illegal characters. Tried twice, first with site name only, then http:/ in front of site name.

  mydeafandblinddog

  Please do not put wordpress.com at the end of it.
