I am trying to delete my site

Hello, I created this blog/site back when I was in University and would now like the site/blog/account deleted as it contains some personal information. No matter what I log into or what I click I cannot find any possible way to delete the site. It seems that there have been some big updates, such as paying for sites, that were not there when I initially made the site. As a result, I have no access to any of the options the public forums have suggested for deleting the site. I am curious if deleting the account will delete the site, but since the account does not have any indication that it is linked to the site/blogs I worry that all I will do is delete the account and then have less access.

It is possible to delete an account, but as you said, you are unable to add any linked websites (I presume you are referring to the account where you posted this query). In addition, deleting an account will also delete all other sites you have (if you have any).
It would be best for you to go for the account recovery procedure and try deleting the site once you have regained access.
