I am trying to get blog excerpts on the home page of a twenty eleven theme

  I have the twenty eleven theme and have posted two blogs. I would like to get an excerpt of summary on the home page rather than the full blogs. How do I do this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Sounds like you’re the perfect candidate for the Read More tag. It will help you break up the text of your posts on your main page.
