I am trying to get help with what, EXACTLY, is offered with the Premium plan.
-
I have been bouncing around the site, with maddening circular referrals and seemingly conflicting information. I have set up a fake site, just for the purpose of being able to ask my simple questions, a waste of WordPress’s storage and my time.
A couple hours searching the forums only compounded the lack of clarity of the Premium service.
Here are all the questions I have. They are remarkably basic and few. Please do not mistake their brevity for assuming a few boilerplate links will answer them. I would appreciate complete answers. Thanks.
All questions are only in reference to the $99 Premium site offer. Limit answers to ones specific to that plan only please. Thanks.
1. If I secure a domain through WordPress, including Private Registration, what costs are incurred in addition to the $99 annual price?
2. Same question, but for subsequent year’s renewal – In other words, next year I renew my Premium WordPress site – Are there additional costs for the domain renewal with Private Registration?
3. Other than understandable occasional potential price increases in the future, is the $99 Premium price a normal price, or a promotional introductory price? Also, I understand that with a WordPress registered domain, e-mail forwarding is provided for up to five domain addresses.
1. Can each e-mail address be forwarded to more than one address?
2. If a domain e-mail is addressed to a name that is not one of the five defined ones, but the domain is correct, what happens to the e-mail? (My other domain e-mail services would, for example, forward such misaddressed e-mail to my defined general e-mail box.)Thank you for your complete answers to each of my questions.

Still nothing? No one from WordPress available to respond to a paying customer? Sure, not paying yet; just answer my simple questions please, and if the information verifies WordPress is suitable for my needs, and an appropriate value-add versus other options, I will be. But – silence.
Looking like neither condition I’ve mentioned here – the most basic for real-world business purchasing, cannot be met.
Hello? WordPress in da house? Anyone?

Third post, end of second full business day, with naught from WordPress. Does support exist? Sales? I really have sales related questions – you know, that thing involving money that keeps WordPress operating. Money. Have some. Want to spend. Want to sell? Answer my questions, maybe I give you some money. Seems simple, reasonable, and fair.
Knock knock. WordPress support? Is this thing on?

Hi there,
You can find more details about the Premium plan in the WordPress.com Store, and I’ll do my best to answer your specific questions below:
1. If I secure a domain through WordPress, including Private Registration, what costs are incurred in addition to the $99 annual price?
The Premium plan includes one domain registration (including private registration) at no extra cost.
2. Same question, but for subsequent year’s renewal – In other words, next year I renew my Premium WordPress site – Are there additional costs for the domain renewal with Private Registration?
No, there are no additional costs to renew your domain (with private registration). When you renew the Premium plan, your domain is renewed at the same time.
3. Other than understandable occasional potential price increases in the future, is the $99 Premium price a normal price, or a promotional introductory price?
The $99 price is the standard price for the Premium plan, not a promotional or discounted price, so unless the regular price for that plan changes you can expect to pay $99 each time you renew the plan.
1. Can each e-mail address be forwarded to more than one address?
No, each email address you set up can only be forwarded to a single address.
2. If a domain e-mail is addressed to a name that is not one of the five defined ones, but the domain is correct, what happens to the e-mail? (My other domain e-mail services would, for example, forward such misaddressed e-mail to my defined general e-mail box.)
Our email forwarding system doesn’t support catch-all addresses or forwarding misaddressed emails like that, so the email would be rejected as a non-existent email address. Only the email addresses you specifically set up will forward to the email addresses you’ve defined.
If you’d like a full email service (beyond our email forwarding service) you’re welcome to add email service from another email provider to your domain.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you so much, for thoroughly answering my questions. I now have complete clarity and no unresolved concerns.
I had previously been to the recommended “WordPress.com Store” link and these really general questions (not counting the e-mail ones which were more specialized) were not covered there. I believe they should be. Elsewhere on the site are many references to a la carte costs, which conflict with what Premium plans seem to indicate. It would be much more useful if there was even one page that simply told it like it is.
Anyway, thanks for the complete and entirely on point answers.
