I am trying to go back to wordpress.otelo.co and I am having problems

    Hello
It appears this on my website:

You can’t get there from here (site_id mismatch error).

This happens when an external blog (a self-hosted blog using the Jetpack plugin) is pointed to WordPress.com by DNS.

If you are trying to migrate away from WordPress.com, please update your DNS to point the domain to your own server.

Otherwise please contact WordPress.com support and explain what you were trying to do, what steps you took, what you expected to happen, and what actually happened.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

As per that error message you quote, can you please explain what you were trying to do when you saw that error? And where exactly on your site you’re seeing it?

I was trying to cancel the paid account as I want to go back to free account in wordpress. I want to go back to wordpress.otelo.co and stop paying the domain,

I see this as soon as I go to http://www.otelo.co

    Thank you

  • @otelo1,

The otelo1 account has not owned any active upgrades on WordPress.com since 2015, so it’s not clear what you’re trying to cancel. Please create your own support request at https://wordpress.com/help/contact if you need help with your site or account.

If you’re the same person as oteloo that created this thread, please log back into that account and comment here. We can only provide information about the oteloo account if it’s that username asking for it.

  • I see this as soon as I go to http://www.otelo.co

There is no connection at all between http://www.otelo.co and WordPress.com.

At one point that domain was connected to a WordPress.com account via the Jetpack plugin, but that connection was completely purged from our system three months ago, and hasn’t been active for over two years.

The domain itself still appears to be pointed to WordPress.com’s servers, but that’s controlled at the domain provider where the domain is registered, Enom.com. Please contact their support for help pointing the domain somewhere else.

    Hi thanks for your answers.
So yes I owe both of the accounts Oteloo and Otelo1.

Basically with this account Otelo1 I want to erase it.

I need this email account free so I can use it in my other account (oteloo). I haven´t been able to erase this account. I don´t have any information I can lose here so could you please help me erasing this account?

Every time I try to erase it it appears this sign:

“Lo siento, pero se ha producido un problema al cerrar tu cuenta. Contacta con el servicio de soporte.”

Will I need to wait some time after it is finally erase so I can use the same email?

    thank you very much

  • The account otelo1 owns a copy of the premium theme Ubud for use on otelo1.wordpress.com

In order to allow you to close your account, we’ll need to remove that from your account.

Would you like us to proceed?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Yes please proceed
    Thank you.

  • Hi there,

I have removed the premium theme from your account. Please try to close the account again and let us know if you have any more trouble.

    Thanks!
