  I am trying to subscribe to a wordpress website and I receive this message: ‘The email address has opted out of subscription emails.’ I don’t recall opting out and I don’t know why this is preventing me from subscribing. I don’t know how to fix it.

  HI,

  Can you please try to go to this link
  https://subscribe.wordpress.com/?option=settings

  Once you are here -> click on “Readers” -> this will take you to Notifiication Settings page -> select the tab ” Readers Subsciption ” -> scroll down and make sure the box is unchecked for “Block all email updates from blogs you’re following on WordPress.com”

  Thank you for replying. I was not able to get to Notifications via the links you supplied but I ‘was’ [I believe] able to get to the Notifications page and I saw the option that said this:

  Block Emails

  Block all email updates from blogs you’re following on WordPress.com

  It was left unchecked. I must admit i have not used wordpress very much and that was years ago.

  Sorry that solution did not work for you. Did you check this link which has a similar question ? There is a suggestion that if the above solution does not work, you can use “contact form” given in this link and submit the email address that is having issues. Please refer to this link.
