I am trying to take my domain away from Wix and bring it here, but I can't

  I informed Wix about wanting to take away my domain and bring it to wordpress. They sent me a code to do this but WordPress does not ask for any code. You say I should get in touch with Wix but they say I only need this code in order to complete this transaction. Could you help? Thanks

  Hi there!

  WordPress.com does not accept incoming domain transfers. You can map your domain to your WordPress.com site by purchasing the Domain Mapping upgrade and changing the nameservers. You’ll need to change your nameservers to the following:

  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  If you’re not sure how, you’ll need to contact your registrar, Wix, for assistance.

  Hi Shawna, I have already purchased the Domain Mapping and I can now see my website as a “.com” but I can’t see the “www.”; instead I see a wordpress symbol. I have already started editing the website but when I google it I can’t access the link offered. When I type i.e. “www.mywebsite.com” I can’t see it either. Wix helped me modify the “A (Host)” numbers but when I see “NS (Name servers)” they are still pointing at:
  ns1.wix.com
  ns2.wix.com
  Do you think this is the problem? Do they need to modify this? Can you do this from your end? They didn’t mention the need to modify this.

  Hi there!

  The best way to map a domain to a WordPress.com blog is to set your domain’s nameservers to the following values:

  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  However, if Wix does not allow you to change your nameservers, ask them to set a record for www that directs to @. Since your domain is registered with Wix and still points to their nameservers, you’ll need to make that change on their side.
