  I used to be able to upload a .zip file with a theme, but I can’t find that option any more.

  It’s not possible to upload custom themes to sites here at WordPress.com.

  Custom themes can only be used on self-hosted WordPress.org sites.

  What is the name of the theme you used to use?

  It might be available from https://wordpress.com/themes
