I am unable to contact anyone at WordPress – having just paid $99 for an upgrade for a blog that has been working fine for 1 year but is now unaccessible, I’m not feeling too good about the site. Is there a way to contact someone at WordPress who can help?

Hi @whstewart! Yes you can contact support if you own an upgrade. This account doesn’t have any upgrades on it though.
Can you log out, then log in again using the email address that received the upgrade receipt? Then go here to reach support:

Alternatively, if you’ll tell me the site that has the upgrades, we’ll get in touch with you via its owner’s email address.

Hi .. Last year word press had billed my account 99 dollars .. Which I cancelled.. This year they emailed me again and said they will be taking 99 more out of my account.. I never once used word press .. When I sign in it says I have a free account.

Premium for this blog – drmelrusso.wordpress.com – has been cancelled already so there’s nothing else you need to do. You won’t be charged and it’s now a free blog which you can keep for as long as you like.

I purchased my domain name in the last few weeks. Suddenly, the site no longer recognizes me. I am shown as the editor of an old site I don’t use. My current blog is whatwecookedlastweek I need to be able to publish a new post. I remember creating a ‘gravatar’ profile, could that have kicked me out of my own site? Please help.
