The DNS for r2branches.org is not working properly and I am unable to redirect it to my website rootstobranches.org. My email is setup from gmail to r2branches.org and I am having issues with that as well.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Let’s address the domain issue first, and then, I’ll be happy to help with the Gmail issue.
So, the goal is to have r2branches.org redirect to rootstobranches.org. Is that correct? If so, you will need to change the name servers on r2branches.org to point to WordPress.com:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/#how-to-change-your-name-servers
Then, it should begin redirecting. Can you give that a shot?

Hi Jeremy,
I have the name servers already entered for r2branches.org but it is still giving me issues. When I try to update my DNS wordpress is saying this:
“We checked the name servers and it looks like they’re not pointing to WordPress.com yet. If you recently updated them please check again soon. It can take a few hours for registrars to complete updating their name servers.”
This has been saying this for over 2 days now, and I only purchased this website through wordpress so I don’t know why I would have to go to another website.
Please help me, this is hurting my business.

Sorry for the confusion! It looks like you previously had r2branches.org registered at WordPress.com. However, that registration expired on 12/15/14. It looks like you removed the subscription from your account on 12/11/14. At that time, the domain was sent back to the registrar and began the expiration process, which takes about 80 days.
When you repurchased the upgrade for r2branches.org, you actually purchased the Domain Mapping upgrade only. This occurred because the domain was technically still “registered,” just in the expiration process. The Domain Mapping upgrade will not work unless you also have the corresponding Domain Registration. I have refunded your $13 payment as a result.
We have two options moving forward:
- I can try to recover the domain r2branches.org to your account. Since the domain is in the process of expiring, you will need to pay the late fee of $80 associated with retrieving the domain from expiration. This fee is charged to WordPress.com by the registrar and is not one we can wave.
- You can wait for the domain to go through the entire expiration process (normally takes about 90 days). At that time, you could try to re-register the domain. Please note, someone else may register the domain instead meaning you would not be able to re-register it.
Can you let me know how you would like to proceed?

The truth of the matter is that I don’t really care about the r2branches.org web address because I am now using the rootstobranches.org web address.
The only reason why I am using the r2branches.org address is because of my email associated with that address. If this is going to take a long process and require an $80 late fee I would just cancel the domain.
Is there a process of being able to forward my r2branches gmail account to a newer email? Such as (email visible only to moderators and staff)?
Please let me know my options as I only care about the email aspects of the domain.

Was the email address (email visible only to moderators and staff) (dashes are only in place to prevent forum from stripping email)? If so, you will only be able to control that email address if you also own the domain r2branches.org. I’m afraid that email address (or any associated forwarding) will not work without renewing the domain.
