I am unable to receive any emails from wordpress.com

  Hi,
  I am unable to receive any emails from wordpress.com, whether it is a confirmation link, an invite to a site,…etc
  Hope you can help!

  Hey @andrecqlo,

  Did you check the spams folder in your mailbox? If you see the emails in the spam, you can mark them as ‘not spam’ so you get the following email in your inbox.

  Also, just to be sure, I would recommend checking the if the email you are using account has any spelling errors.

  It is definitely not in my spam and there are definitely no spelling errors. Surprisingly, while I am unable to get a confirmation link to login or an invite to manage a site, I did get a notification about a response to this forum topic. Any other ideas?

  Hi there,

  Your account is already verified, so we won’t be sending you any emails for that. If you see a message in your account that you need to verify, please clear your browser cache and that should go away.

  I don’t see any evidence that we’ve sent you any other emails, except for login links, and for each email we sent for that our logs also show a successful login, which means you would have received those emails.

  For what site are you expecting an invitation? It’s possible the owner of that site is not sending the invitation using the correct email address or username.

  I don’t think I received any login links by email. Instead, I used “continue with google” to login. I was hoping to receive invitations to: iamandrelo.wordpress.com, medmule.science.blog and thecontroversation.home.blog. Thanks!

  I can see in the logs for those sites that the owners sent you an invitation, but it doesn’t appear that we’re sending out the actual emails.

  Do you know if the owners of those sites are inviting you using your email address, or your WordPress.com username, andrecqlo? Please ask them to try the other method of whichever one they’ve been using.

  Also have them try to send it leaving out all the periods in your email. Gmail ignores periods in the first part of the address, so myname[at]gmail, my.name[at]gmail and my.na.m.e[at]gmail should all go to your inbox. I just wonder if the number of periods you’re using might be causing issues here.

  It seems like periods were the problem here as it finally worked when the invitations were sent out without periods in the first part of my email address. Thank you so much!

  Thanks for letting me know.

  I’m pretty sure it’s the number of periods rather than the periods themselves. If I send an invitation to an address with only one period it works fine, so the form likely just struggles with parsing more than a certain number of periods.

  Keep in mind people can also add you using your WordPress.com username, rather than your email.
