I am updating a website and need to rearrange the posts

  How do I rearrange the posts into a different order?
  Have posted the data I need, but the posts are in order of inclusion by posting, and need to rearrange into a logical order. How do I do this?

  I have taken over the control of a website and there were a number of items that needed to be posted to get it up to date. That’s now done, but I have done it in the wrong order, assuming I could then rearrange into the right order (correspondence etc). How do I rearrange the posts so that data that is more recent is at the front?
  I’ve tried dragging and dropping, which is what the website instructs, but nothing happens.
