I am wondering if I can make this blog private and not have it visible to the public?

  I am just wondering if I can remove he blog but keep my writing without it being visible or searchable.

  Hi @justmeagain2018,

  Sure, you can set your website private without deleting it. This will still allow you to write content without allowing people to view your website and if you want to invite any particular viewer to see your site you can invite them.

  To set your site private, go to Settings → General →Scroll down to the Privacy section and then select the Private option to set private.

  Also, you can test whether your website is visible to others by opening the browser in incognito mode (without login into WordPress.com) and pasting the website URL there to check whether it is visible to people after the above change.
