I bought a blog template from 'Into the Darkroom' and want to install it?

  I bought a blog template from ‘Into the Darkroom’ They are asking for my FTP information. I do not know where to find this or how to get this template installed. I am confused as to whether or not WordPress allows this. If not, is there a way to host my blog somewhere else without losing all of my previous content and followers?

  On WordPress.com, while we make a number of both free and premium themes available for your use, you cannot upload your own theme for your blog.
