I bought a domain on a different site, and when I came back to wordpress to link it, it says I must upgrade to PRO

    I bought a domain outside of WordPress and I did not know that I had to have a paid plan to link it. So now I own my domain, but I am on the hook for the cost of the PRO plan to use it, when if I had just bought it on wordpress, I would not need to upgrade my plan.

    What am I supposed to do? It is a very simple site and I have no need for the upgraded plan, I just want to use this domain

    You should not need to purchase the Pro plan. The less expensive Starter plan will allow you to use a custom domain with your site.
