I bought domain name. But can't get started… HELP!

I had an idea to start a new blog. I came to WordPress where I have blogged before a bit to register my new blog and see if it was available. When I got to WordPress there were options for webhosting. This was new. I didn’t know what it was but I thought I needed to pick one… so I clicked on the third option down… something like webiguana (sorry I don’t recall the name!), some open source folks from San Fransisco… seemed legit. Anyway, I clicked there. And they said they don’t register domain names. I have to do that first. They suggested their friends at hover. So I went to Hover… a hyperlink, and I registered the name I wanted. It was available. Now I am trying to start the blog at WordPress and it tells me someone owns that domain name. Yes! Me! I just bought it. :-(. And it isn’t letting me set a blog up with the name for which I just registered. And this time when I went to the WordPress site it didn’t have the iguana company button to click, either. I guess I don’t know what a domain hoster is. I thought that was what WordPress was??? Very confused. If anyone can suggest what I need to do to get started with the domain name I just purchased, please advise. Thank you.

What is the domain name that you bought please starting with http:// ?

As @timethief mentioned, can you please provide us the domain name? It looks like all you will need is a Domain Mapping upgrade, but once we get the domain I can see for sure.
