  • Hi there,

I see that you added that domain, but it will still need to be set as the primary domain for your site. We provide some documentation on how to this here: https://wordpress.com/en/support/domains/set-a-primary-address/ but in summary you’ll want to go from your WordPress.com Dashboard to Upgrades ⇢ Domains, click the three dots to the right of your domain and choose “Make Primary Site Address”

Let us know if this works or if there’s anything else we can help with.

Thanks that works but now I am having an issue when editing the site none of the editing features popup on the right side or the left side none of the tools show up

  • Hi there,

It looks like “Distraction Free Mode” got switched on for your editor, which removes all detailed editing features. It’s mostly useful for if you’re just writing a long stretch of text and don’t require stylizing options for the page.

You can turn this off by hovering over the top part of the editor until the top toolbar opens up, clicking the three dots to the right, and clicking on “Distraction Free” to uncheck that.

Let us know if this works or if there’s anything else we can help with.

that’s the problem that doesn’t show up to change it

  • Hi there,

You’ll need to hover around the top to make that top toolbar appear so you can turn off distraction free mode. Here’s a GIF of how to do that.

ya I did that only the WordPress logo appears even after I left it for a few days thinking this was a cache error

  • Hello, I replicated the issue and it appears to be a bug that requires further investigation. In the meantime, I have implemented a workaround to resolve the issue on your site. You should now be able to see the top toolbar with the “Distraction Free” option disabled.
