I bought new domain and it linked it to my original domain name. How can I get them separated ??

I had intended for willcox aquifer. org to be a separate entity.
Guessing that it was hooked to the Dragoon Conservation page because I was still logged into that when I started working on the Willcox page.
How do I get them separated?Thanks

Every custom domain on WordPress.com has to be connected to an existing site (one that ends in wordpress.com) If you don’t want the domain connected to https://willcoxaquifer.wordpress.com/, you can create a new WordPress.com site and connect it to that.

Once that’s done, let me know and I can move the domain for you.

Just to be clear I want the willcox.org connected to its own site and the Dragoon Conservation site connected to its own site.It seems like I tried to get the a separate willcox.wordpress.com site and it wouldnt let me do it.

if you want willcoxaquifer.org connected to https://willcoxaquifer.wordpress.com/ I can do that for you now. I just need to confirm that those addresses belong together. So far you’ve said you want it connected “to it’s own site” and so It’s not clear if you intend to have two sites with willcoxaquifer in the name or one.

Yes the willcox.org needs to be seperate from the dragoon conservation alliance.org site.
Where did I go wrong when I set the willcox site up?
I am just guessing that I should have been completly logged out of the DCA site when I started on the willcox site.
Am I correct about that?I have a few more sites to create and I dont want to make the same mistakes again.

I moved willcoxaquifer.org so it’s connected to willcoxaquifer.wordpress.com.

I can now see willcoxaquifer.org and dragoonconservationalliance.org separately but when I changed the icon for the willcox.org site it changed the icon on the dragoon site.

You have two separate sites in the same account. Most things you will be able to change on a per site basis, if you make sure you are working on the correct site. There are a couple things, like your user name and gravatar that will be the same for both sites.
Could you show me what you mean by the site icon for willcox.org? The best way to do that is to take a picture of what’s on your screen (called a screenshot) and add it to your media library so i can see it. Here’s how to do that.

The first is dragoonconservationalliance.wordpress.com and it should use http://dragoonconservationalliance.org/The second is http://willcoxaquifer1.wordpress.com and it should use http://willcoxaquifer.org/

Right now you do have two WordPress.com sites connected to separate custom domains.
One is
http://dragoonconservationalliance.org/the other is
Both of those sites are managed by the WordPress.com account with the username dragoonconservationalliance.
Based on the forum post, it looks like you also created a new WordPress.com account, willcox1. The willcox1 user has a a site, https://willcoxaquifer1.wordpress.com/. That site is empty.
We can move the content and custom domain from http://willcoxaquifer.org/contact-us/ to the Willcox1 account if you want, but having two accounts can cause even more confusion, so I only recommend it when there are extenuating circumstances.
Could you tell me why you want to have your two separate sites in two separate accounts?

These need to be 2 separate accounts because eventually they will be looked after by different people.I meant them to be separate when I set up willcoxaquifer.org but was logged into the dragoon site when I started working on it.
That is where I went wrong.I have a few more sites to create and they will also need to be separate entity's.
Next time I will make sure I start from scratch and not make this mistake again.j.

That is a good reason for them to be separate.
I’ve moved http://willcoxaquifer.org/ to the Willcox1 account.
Since we moved a domain, you’ll receive an email from ICANN asking you to verify your contact info. Once you do that you’ll be all set.
dragoonconservationalliance is still an Admin on the willcoxaquifer.org site. Once you verify you can access both accounts in your preferred way, you can remove dragoonconservationalliance as a user on http://willcoxaquifer.org/.

Ok I verified email for wilcox.Went back to both sites and they seem to be functioning.
I was able to get rid of the wilcox blog from the dragoon site.
Both log ins working great.
Both email addresses working.
Looking good.The wilcox site still has an extra blog in it but I dont see a problem with it unless it would be better to just have one what do you think??
Do you have any good suggestions for learning about wordpress?
I tried to download the linux version of wordpress but didnt get past the msql stuff.
I am so used to having everything installed on my machine I am still getting used to doing things in a web based way.
After working with the wordpress web based program I have to say its pretty cool.
They have sure taken a lot of work out of setting up a great page.I think we can mark this resolved.
