I bought WP through hostgator and can't get to work. I can't log into because it does not

  There are two versions of WordPress
  WordPress.com and WordPress.org
  To learn what’s difference follow the link
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  But for the blog which you have mentioned is hosted on the WordPress.com
  if you want to use custom domain then you can upgrade your WordPress.com plan

  If you have purchased hosting through hostgator then it is using WordPress.org free and open source software if you have queries relating to that then you need to use this forum https://wordpress.org/support/

  You do not need to purchase hosting for this blog which you have mentioned canotaryschoolcom.wordpress.com.
  Because you have created on WordPress.com
