  I’m using the Chronicle theme and, in trying to figure out the slider, I added a header. After creating a new category for my slider posts, I tried to simply remove the header by clicking the ‘x’ on the image. Now the page is loading as Error 404 and it won’t let me into the customize settings

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You don’t need to use the theme customize to chnage any header or background image go to Dashboard → Appearance → Header.

  Alright I have a header up again but it’s still giving me the Error 404

  A 404 page not found link means the image has been deleted from your Media Library or there isn’t one there.You need to upload an image onto WordPress.com servers to use as a header image.

  Did you use this Custom Header Image http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/custom-header-image/ support link?

  I managed to get a header back in but there’s still a 404 and I can’t customize the page

  The front page error has zero to do with the header image.

  Error 404 – Not Found
  Sorry, but the page you are looking for has not been found. Try checking the URL for errors, then hit the refresh button in your browser.

  By default the front page of the blog is the only page that will display all published posts on it. As soon as you publish a post not a page the error message will be gone. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
