  What exactly do you want to update?
  If you want to update posts or pages, there are page revisions available which has records of the past updates.

  Hi there,

  If you perhaps meant “upgrade”, then no, the content on your site won’t be affected in any way if you upgrade to a paid plan. All that will do is activate the extra features included in the plan on your site.
