I can no longer comment on WordPress blogs with my email address
-
I have created a blog using said email address but when I realized I could no longer comment with my old name and gravatar I changed the email address for my account on https://wordpress.com/me/account expecting the status of the old one to be restored. That wasn’t the case, attempting to comment with it requires logging in even though it isn’t associated to any account. The password doesn’t work and using the https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword form I get “Unable to reset password I’m sorry, but we weren’t able to find a user with that login information.”

I will type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question

Hi there,
Can you please let me know your old username or email address (email address will be automatically hidden and be visible only to me) so I can further troubleshoot your issue?

There seems to be a misunderstanding, I didn’t have an username previously, I would just comment on other people’s blogs inserting name and e-mail. It’s the gravatar that I’m concerned about since I can no longer identify with it. This is something that can be replicated by anyone with a 10minutemail.net email or some other type of disposable email, creating a blog with one, switching to another, then attempting to comment with the previous one on some random article.
