I can no longer log into my WordPress Admin.
-
Today I had to update some DNS records to ensure I was able to set up part of an email funnel. I was instructed to do this in Katra to secure email delivery:
DKIM key details
Use the details below to configure your DKIM records.
Read the detailed DKIM documentation for more information about authenticating email sender domains.
- 1.Log in to your DNS provider:Access the website of your DNS provider (where your domain is registered or hosted) and log in with your credentials.
- 2.Navigate to the DNS management section:Find the DNS settings or DNS management area. This is often in the ‘Domain Management’ or ‘Settings’ section.
- 3.Adding CNAME records:Look for an option to add a new record. This is typically labeled as ‘Add Record’, ‘Create Record’, or something similar.
- You need to add three CNAME records. For each record: Select ‘CNAME’ as the type of record.
- Enter the Host Name provided by Kartra.
- Enter the Points To field with the specific value provided by Kartra.
- TypeCNAMEHostsk333527.effortlessreader.comPoints tou45732938.wl189.sendgrid.net
- TypeCNAMEHostk01._domainkey.effortlessreader.comPoints tok01.domainkey.u45732938.wl189.sendgrid.net
- TypeCNAMEHostk012._domainkey.effortlessreader.comPoints tok012.domainkey.u45732938.wl189.sendgrid.net
- 4.Save your changes:After entering all three CNAME records, save your changes. This is usually done by clicking a ‘Save’, ‘Update’, or ‘Confirm’ button.
I saved the records–everything worked normally for about an hour. Now I can no longer log in, and this site can’t be reached. This was the only thing I specifically changed.
Can anyone assist?

Hi,
I’ve checked it, and the site effortlessreader.com is not hosted on the WordPress.com servers. We can not help here with sites that are not hosted with us, as we have no access to your site, and our support tools will not work.
You can learn more about the difference between WordPress.com and self-hosted or WordPress.org sites here: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
Your site seems to be hosted with Namecheap, as you can see here: https://securitytrails.com/domain/effortlessreader.com/dns
You’ll need to contact them to get assistance with this site.
If you are interested in moving your site to WordPress.com, we would be better able to assist you with issues such as this one in the future. You can learn more about moving to WordPress.com here.
Hope this helps! -
Hi eliformarketing,
It sounds like updating your DNS records might have caused a temporary glitch with your WordPress login. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then try logging in again. If that doesn’t work, some DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to fully propagate. Give it some time and see if access returns.
In the meantime, you can check your website’s status using a tool like DownForEveryoneOrJustMe.com to see if it’s just you who can’t access it.
