I can not continue building website i started?????Why???

  I can not continue building website I started. Why can’t I get back to building? I used host gator to buy domain name, which came with wordpress to build the site. Now I can’t get back to site. Everytime I try to logon, I get error page that reads ‘unable to connect’. What could this be?
