I can not find my wordpress login site – using wordpress to host semplice.

    I was using semplice through wordpress and for some reason can no longer find the wordpress portion. it keeps coming up with caseygliddenblog.wordpress.com which i have never used before. And currently, my site won’t work as i need to update a plugin that i can only do if i get into my site. Can you please help me identify my site login so i can find it?

    Thanks for that. Since your site is not hosted with us, we’re limited in what we can help with and advise. But I can get you pointed in the right direction to get help.

    Your login would normally be found at http://caseyglidden.com/wp-login.php but since you have that fatal error in the Semplace theme, you’ll need to log into your server via FTP and rename or delete that theme in the /wp-content/themes/ directory.

    If you don’t know your FTP login or how to use FTP, you can reach out to your host GoDaddy for help. Since they’re hosting your site’s files, they also have access to those files and are the best ones to help you find and fix this problem.

    Hmm. I started my inquiry with godaddy and they actually told me to go to you guys because they couldn’t do anything else. But I kept getting different answers from different people. So maybe I just need to find the right person there to help :) Since I have no real idea how to use FTP or anything.

    Ah, I know it’s super frustrating when everyone just sends you elsewhere. Let me try to explain to avoid future confusion. There is WordPress.com and WordPress.org, and they are two different entities.

    We, WordPress.com, are a cloud-based platform where we manage WordPress sites, whereas WordPress.org is stand-alone software that you can download and self-host with any other hosting.
