I can not get Google to verify blog ownership

    I have followed the instructions posted in earlier posting (created a new page, uploaded HTML code to subject line and published new page) and for the life on me I can not get my blog verified by Google. Why is this so darn hard on WordPress?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    The site linked to your username is dead – or under construction, and since you did not include a link to your blog we can’t be sure you are even in the correct forum. If you have a blog hosted here at wordpress.com, then it isn’t difficult at all. A search of the support pages for webmaster tools or google webmaster tools or verify blog would have brought you this: http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/ . It takes all of 5 minutes.
