I can not log in or edit my site

  I created this site:

  For some reason I can’t figure out how to login and edit… I keep trying to reset password and it will not let me.

  Hi there,

  I can confirm that @bestrongandsparkleon is the correct account to access that site, and you have been able to log in to leave a question here in our forums so you should have access to your site as well.

  What if you visit this direct link? https://wordpress.com/sites/bestrongandsparkle.wordpress.com/

  Because you are logged in to our forums, you should be able to access the admin functions of your site by visiting that page directly. Do you see your site stats (currently empty) when you click that? or do you see an error message of some kind?

  If you continue to have issues with logging in to your site, I would like you to try the following:

  – clear your cache and cookies based on the steps google recommends here: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050
  – Also make sure you are not blocking any “3rd party cookies” as explained in that guide as well.
  – If you continue to have loading issues after completing those steps, I would like you to try another browser instead, like Firefox. Are you able to proceed if you use a browser other than Chrome?

  NOTE the word “on”

  I see that I started a webpage and then that’s it…. I can’t figure out how to login, change password, anything.
  NOTE this one doesn’t have the word “on”
  I want to be able to get into this one to edit…… is there any way to see what email I am using for it? I have a feeling it may be a super old yahoo account that got hacked that I can no longer access…. is there anyway to change the email address for this one and access it?

  Thanks for the tips! Unfortunately, “wordpress” won’t let me submit an account recovery form.
  Is there ANY way to delete this site: https://bestrongandsparkle.wordpress.com/
  I think the problem is that it is under a yahoo email address that got hacked and I can’t login to it to even reset the password.
  So that I can sign in, and create a new site and use that particular address?

  Hello Kristen,

  When you mention, that you couldn’t submit the form – what happened exactly?

  If you’re able to reach out to Yahoo and get them to help you recover the account, that would be a huge step forward.

  Over and over again, yahoo gives me this:
  Uh-oh…
  We can’t sign you in at the moment. Please try again in a while.

  When I fill out the “ACCOUNT RECOVERY FORM”
  I do not have a “transaction ID, activation URL or 2 factor code”… I never once imagined my email would get hacked and I did not save the information…. I created this so long ago.. I know, I was naive.

  everytime I try the “Account recovery” it keeps saying I should be able to do “lost password”… but I can’t get into the old email to reset the password.

  can you please either, reset the email/password to my new email
  (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  or maybe delete the wordpress account and then I can login, start a new site and use that name…

  I would really like to use that name

  Hello there,

  I know these things can be frustrating. If the security of the email account has been compromised, I would again advise to contact Yahoo with regards to that, they have an account recovery service here: https://www.yahoo.com/subscriptions/products/yahoo-plus-support-help

  We wouldn’t be able to action any password changes or account deletions at the request from another account. This is for security and privacy purposes.
