I can not upload a theme

  Hello
  I just got on wordpress but i cant not upload my own theme i just do not see the option what do i do?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Uploading Custom Themes

  Uploading a third-party or custom theme is possible only on self-hosted sites using the WordPress.org software. This means that you cannot upload any themes to your WordPress.com site. Learn more.

  Instead of uploading a theme, try checking out the current theme collection to see if there’s an option there that will work well for you.

  This sucks. I found a great theme and wanted to upload it. But to do this, we have to have our own hosting? Why is this??

  This is because it is what is is. This is a multiuser blogging platform. WordPress>ORG software is for stand alone sites. Note all the differences here please https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  It’s a security and performance issue – the themes here are modified to run here and go through a security check to make sure there are no problems – they also add in the widgets for more features since you also can’t use Plugin’s here
